BROMSGROVE Sporting finally overcame a spirited Glades side with four second-half goals in the Midland Combination Division One.
Glades started well and threatened to take the lead a couple of early shots that keeper Tom Savage easily dealt with.
The visitors also wasted a good chance from a free-kick 20-yards from goal which was cleared after hitting the defensive wall.
Sporting gave a debut to James Turk, who signed from Fairfield Villa and, on 19 minutes, he created the first goal with a great ball across the box to Chris Conway who beat keeper Chris Burkett with a first-time shot at his near post.
Sporting should have doubled their advantage on 27 minutes when Kevin Banner saw his shot go the wrong side of the post with the goal at his mercy.
The hosts had a goal disallowed for offside as Jon Rogers, inset, picked up a rebound from a Conway shot on 38 minutes.
In the second period there were a few nerves and when Joe Brookes smacked a penalty against the bar following a foul on Keith Draper.
But Sporting made it 2-0 soon after as Rogers worked the ball to the bye-line before pulling it back for Conway to net his second from eight yards out.
On 73 minutes, Aaron Roberts added the third when he connected with substitute Ryan Molesworth’s cross, which had evaded the Glades defence.
Three became four on 81 minutes as another ball across the area found Mikey Stewart at the back post to tap home.
The final goal came from a Brookes’ shot on 86 minutes which took a deflection off Glades defender Ward.
