Barnt Green children bake cakes for charity nearly new sale

BARNT Green children have been baking cakes as they prepare for a charity sale being held next month.
Barnt Green Baptist Church, in Bittel Road, will be hosting the popular Nearly New Sale on Saturday, March 3, with doors opening at 10.30am.
The spring sale of childrens clothes, toys and equipment will this year be supporting Barnt Green Pre-School, based at the church, and The Smile Train charity, which helps children with facial disfigurements in developing countries.
Youngsters from the pre-school have been doing their bit by baking cakes, which are to be sold on a stall at the sale.
Pre-school manager Tina Cormack said: "The sale has been really well supported by locals in the past.
“We've become well known for the quality of the goods, so people know they're getting a real bargain.”
