Potty idea to raise money for good cause
3:07pm Thursday 2nd September 2010

THE founder of a Bromsgrove-based pottery painting studio has come up with a fundraising idea for a charity close to her heart.
Sandra Kitching of JETS is inviting people to paint and buy boob banks, boob-shaped money boxes with money going to The Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign.
Sandra, who won a battle against leukaemia, said: “I saw it as the perfect opportunity to give something back for all the support received by loved ones and myself during our battles with cancer.
“I’m charging £15 for people to visit my shop and paint their own boob bank – with £10 going to the charity.”
The Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign is aiming to raise £2.5 million to fund the establishment of a new, dedicated breast unit at Worcester Royal hospital.
It will be used by women as well as men across Worcestershire for all breast related issues.
Sandra added: “When I recently discovered the boob-shaped money boxes, I immediately saw the fundraising potential.”
Carole Crowe, campaign coordinator, said: “We would like to thank Sandra for developing such a fun and novel idea to raise funds for Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign.”
